The IWC believes that everybody has a story worth telling, and its memoir classes and projects are designed to help people of all ages and background to tell theirs, using a curriculum that helps them identify meaningful moments, see them in their mind’s eyes, and bring them alive on the page in vivid, compelling scenes.
Memoir Project classes are taught by experienced IWC instructors and, occasionally, by guest teachers who specialize in memoir. Special projects serve particular audiences whose voices are not usually heard, such as senior citizens, veterans, juvenile offenders, and special needs moms. You can learn more about the Memoir Project at http://www.indianawriters.org.
You can purchase a copy of Monday Coffee & Other Stories of Mothering Children with Special Needs at the following vendors. All proceeds go to supporting future memoir projects.
